Uncle Ting is a 70-year-old man living alone. He has no children and can only rely on the government's monthly subsidy to make ends meet. He lives alone in a container house with a leaky roof, no bathroom or toilet, and has to use a bucket for bathing and toileting, making life very difficult. The living environment is not only unsafe, but also unhygienic, which affects him physically and mentally.
It was only through a referral from the Hua Shan Foundation that we learned of Uncle Ting's existence. When we first met him, we were shocked by his living situation and felt that it was unsafe to live like this. We decided to help him change all that.
So, we contacted Puyang Investment Company Limited, a company with a high level of commitment to social contribution. They quickly responded to our request and provided us with financial support. With their help, we started the "Love Maintenance" program.
The aim of the "Repair with Love" program is to help the poor elderly to improve their living environment so that they can have a safe, comfortable and warm home. This time, we carried out a number of repair works for Uncle Ting's container house, including the installation of water heaters, water towers, sanitary fixtures, roof leakage prevention, and so on. These works have not only improved the quality of life of Uncle Ting, but also ensured his safety.
After the renovation was completed, we took Uncle Ting to appreciate the finished environment. When he saw the scene in front of him, he was excited and said that he had never imagined that he would be able to live in such a good environment in his old age, and thanked all the people who had helped him. Uncle said he was not very good at expressing his feelings, but he was very grateful and would treasure his new home and take good care of himself.
Seeing Uncle Ting's happy smile, we also feel very relieved. We are very happy that we can help Uncle Ting and give him back his hope in life. We consider this our mission and responsibility, as well as our honor and joy. We hope that through the "Love Maintenance" program, we can help more elderly people in need of help, so that they can all have a new home.
