Now, Chiayi City is not lagging behind, and has launched the "114-Year Plan to Promote Self-Reliance and Social Participation of People with Physical and Mental Disabilities", which makes the daily lives of people with physical and mental disabilities more convenient and worry-free by subsidizing cab vouchers. Highlights of the program The program mainly targets Chiayi City residents with moderate or higher physical and mental disabilities, and provides a maximum monthly subsidy of NT$280 in the form of a cab voucher to help them go out to work, go to the doctor, or participate in social activities more easily. Each voucher has a face value of NT$70 and is valid for the same month, but cannot be accumulated for use in the following month. Participating taxi fleets include Metropolis and Taiwan Big Bus, and the service area covers Chiayi City and some locations across counties and cities, allowing users to enjoy flexibility and convenience! How to apply? Four simple steps! 1. Prepare documents: application form, a copy of the certificate of physical and mental disability, a copy of your ID card, and a seal. If the application is made on behalf of a user, the ID card and seal of the person making the application will also be required. 2. Go to the designated location: According to the monthly application time, go to the designated service center in Chiayi City to submit the documents. 3. Eligibility check: The program staff will check the eligibility on-site to ensure that the subsidy criteria are met. 4. Receive your voucher: Once you have passed the verification, you can receive your voucher on-site and start using the program with peace of mind! Why is this program so important? According to statistics, Taiwan's physically and mentally challenged population is increasing year by year, and a high percentage of them are unable to participate in social activities due to transportation barriers.
