Formally established in 1999, the program is dedicated to providing free home care services for the elderly with the three disabilities (incapacity, dependency, and mental retardation). Currently, there are about 400 Community Angel Stations in Taipeng and Jinma, serving nearly 30,000 disadvantaged elders. Under the principle of "making up for deficiencies", we provide quality services to the elderly in the community. We provide professional care and establish a model of care with dignity and respect.
The services provided include:
1. New Year's Day Care
Every three festivals (New Year's Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival), we will give festive gifts to the elders and extend New Year's Day greetings to the elders.
2. Nail care service
Provide nail care service for the elderly or disabled (visually impaired, physically challenged) elders by cleaning, trimming and polishing their nails.
3. Bed Bath Service
As the bedridden elders cannot enjoy complete and comfortable body cleaning, the service provides the elders with a bath service in their original beds in order to promote blood circulation and improve their skin condition.
4. Housekeeping services
Provide elders with simple housekeeping and cleaning services, such as sweeping and mopping the floor.
5. Accompanying seniors to medical appointments
For seniors who have mobility problems or who have difficulty traveling from their home to the medical institution, the program provides transportation and accompanies seniors to medical appointments.
6. Caring visits
Caring for elders through chatting and caring about their medication, meals, physiological conditions, recent special events, and reminders of life care, etc., in order to achieve the purpose of caring companionship.
7. To provide services and welfare services for elders
Assist elders in dealing with their daily life affairs, and refer them to resources to solve problems of environmental repairs and life care.
