"Recently, I read about the Electricity Charge Subsidy and Relief Payment Scheme on the Facebook page of Sunyu Academy. The scheme was launched by the government to relieve people's financial pressure and encourage low-carbon restructuring. According to the information, the government will provide a monthly subsidy of $80 for 11 months starting June 1, 2023, and $120 in the 12th month, totaling $1,000, to residential customers of the two power companies. In addition, the Government will also provide eligible residential electricity accounts with a monthly relief payment of $50 from January 2024 to December 2025. The subsidy, together with the relief payment, will be automatically credited to the electricity account to offset the electricity bill. 3 Ways to Save Energy
