"Did you choose the theme for each song? I find each song very interesting." One of the participants asked our music therapist as soon as she arrived today.
Each group has different characteristics and needs. If we want to help the participants to find their own meaning in the songs, and to achieve a better physical and mental connection and a secure foundation, then we need to put more thought into the selection of the songs. It is also important to be sensitive enough to support the process of leading. However, the most important element in finding meaning is the participant himself!
Happiness and suffering have always been the realities of life. If you talk about happiness without talking about suffering for too long, the suffering will remain. This group of participants has a soft and open heart, they are willing to show their feelings, and they need to be ready to be heard! Therefore, our music therapist has chosen the right songs to touch on the bitterness, creating more space to embrace all kinds of feelings, where different resonances slowly emerge.
It is important for human emotions to be heard and accepted by the group. Equally important is the slow practice of feeling one's own feelings and becoming more aware of and accepting of them - the slow exploration of music and the protection of each person's experience of the unique process of defining life in music is the foundation of our group.
