今次我們透過探訪認識了一位居住在深水埗，現年70多歲的蔡伯伯，現時他與妻子同住。伯伯身體狀況一般，患有高血壓和糖尿病而且亦有心臟無力的問題，因此不能長期活動。
探訪期間，伯伯向我們表示他經常獨自在家中，我們擔心他一旦在家中遇到緊急事故，例如：跌倒或身體不適等，後果不堪設想。因此，我們建議伯伯家中安裝平安鐘。由於平安鐘服務需付費，伯伯需與家人商量。
經商討過後，伯伯決定安裝平安鐘，最後平安鐘機構已替伯伯安裝平安鐘，伯伯也暫無其他需要。在之後的日子，我們會和伯伯保持聯絡和再他有需要時再次協助他。
但在申請平安鐘服務時，必須先了解清楚申請資助的資格和各大平安鐘服務的合約條款及細節，並根據服務使用者的生活習慣和需要，比較及選擇合適的平安鐘產品。
