[Sunyu Taiwan] Regulations on Stabilized Employment Subsidies for Specified Unemployed Persons in Taipei City

The Taipei City Government provides subsidies to stabilize employment for specific groups of unemployed people.

 

Service Description:

For the unemployed who have been domiciled in Taipei City for more than 4 months and meet the specific target status (including senior citizens over 66 years old), and who have been recommended for work by the local employment service stations and have been steadily employed for more than 1 month, and whose salary range for workers' compensation insurance is below the announced standard for the current year, the Department will provide a monthly subsidy of NT$5,000 for stabilizing employment for a maximum of 6 months.

The monthly subsidy for the specific target group of unemployed persons who work more than 32 hours per week, and for mentally and physically challenged persons who work more than 20 hours per week, will be NT$5,000 (US$1,000).

The subsidy period under this program is limited to six months per person within two years from the date of the first application.

 

Clientele:

Those who have been domiciled in the city for at least 4 months and meet any of the following conditions:

・Persons who are responsible for their own household expenses

・At least 40 years old

・Persons with physical and mental disabilities

・Aborigines

・ (Middle) Low-income households with working ability

・Long-term unemployed

・Those who have been out of the labor market for more than two years due to family factors and want to return to work.

・Victims of domestic violence

・Reproduction of a protected person

・New residents

・Learning disabled

Those who meet the requirements of the Taipei City Citizens' Counseling and Self-Governance Ordinance and are qualified for temporary work.

Workers or their spouses, first-degree relatives, and other immediate family members who have been recognized by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation Insurance of the Ministry of Labor and Employment or other relevant authorities as having suffered an occupational disaster.
