Young and middle-aged people who used to have full-time jobs often have to quit their original jobs in order to take care of the elderly. In order to encourage people to take care of the elderly and to alleviate the burden of the young and the middle-aged, the Government has arranged a monthly care allowance of $5,000. How to apply for the allowance? How to prepare?
1. Persons in care
(1) Need to claim the Low and Moderate Income Living Allowance for the Elderly
(2) Failure to receive other government subsidies, or failure to apply for nursing care or institutionalization, etc.
(3) Government experts have assessed that they are unable to take care of themselves and need to be taken care of by their family members.
2. Caregivers
(1) Must be aged 16 or over but under 65 and not in compliance with the relevant social assistance law.
(2) Identified as a member of the total household income population
(3) No full-time job at present
(4) The care recipient is living with the caregiver and is domiciled in the county or city.
5,000 per month
1. photocopies of the front and back of the identity cards of the caregiver and the person being cared for
2. Functional scale for activities of daily living: Barthelme scale
3. Photocopy of the front of the passbook
