2022年07月20日，38歲胡姓工人在15樓施工時，疑似不慎踩空，跌落到3樓風管內。青埔分隊分隊長說，「到達現場發現，工人已經受困在風管的後方，我們使用圓盤切割器，把他鋸開之後救出」。胡姓工人全身多處開放性骨折，即使在救護車內已為他裝上自動心肺復甦機，持續壓胸，但送醫搶救後，仍宣告不治。 事隔三日，高醫岡山醫院新建工程2022年07月23日下午也發生工安意外，一名45歲蔡姓焊接工人不慎於3樓墜落，當場失去呼吸心跳，經送往岡山秀傳醫院搶救後，再轉送至高醫附設醫院，目前仍在加護病房觀察中。‍勞動部去年勞檢年報顯示「職災千人率（平均每千名工作者死傷及失能人次）」十年來首度攀升，也比2019年高；勞動部職安署分析，主因落在營造、餐飲、運輸倉儲等三大類勞工較多。勞動部統計，扣掉交通事故，營造業2019年職災死亡人數168人、2020年142人，都位居各行業職災死亡之首。‍突如其來的工安意外事件，輕者造成輕、重傷，重者致死，當事人可能永久必須面對失能，或家人要面對離世的悲痛，最嚴重的問題是造成家庭頓失經濟重擔，圓滿家面臨破碎失衡，面對這些意外發生時，民眾該如何面對與因應呢?

近來由於都會區住宅租金與物價齊漲，加重了許多租屋家庭負擔，而基於去年台灣經濟成長創11年新高，政府為將經濟成長與全民共享，除包括連年增加基本工資、為育兒家庭增加津貼、推出史上最大規模減稅，現亦要透過「中央擴大租金補貼專案」，持續為大家「加薪、減稅、增福利」。租金補貼金額總規模將由現行57億元提高至300億元，並放寬補貼申請資格，使補貼戶數從12萬戶大幅增加至50萬戶，並同步調升補貼金額，讓年輕家庭、弱勢家庭，以及初入社會青年的租屋族得到最實質的幫助。
