According to Johns Hopkins University, as of March this year, more than 13,400 children and adolescents under the age of 20 had died of C pneumonia, with 42% of those deaths occurring in infants and children aged 0-9 years.
With the increasing number of confirmed cases, the proportion of children infected with the disease also continues to rise, Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital Pediatric Infectious Disease Department Director Li Min-sheng said, such as children diagnosed with a high fever of more than 39 degrees, fuzzy consciousness, shallow breathing and vomiting, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms are likely to enter the early symptoms of severe disease, parents should pay special attention.

Dr. Chien Chia-Yu of Maosheng Hospital reminds caregivers such as dads, moms, grandparents, grandmothers, babysitters, teachers, and other adults to try not to do the following 7 things to protect young children at home:
1、No kissing: Adults have many viruses in their saliva, which can be transmitted to babies through kissing.
2. Don't share utensils, feed or eat together: Sharing utensils, feeding or eating together may cause children to eat large amounts of food.
Human saliva. Also, do not blow on the food with your mouth to make it cold before feeding to prevent contamination of the food by droplets.
3, do not breathe on the baby, wheezing: breathing and wheezing, will also be in the mouth of the virus, bacteria infected to infants and young children.
Don't let children play with cell phones: cell phones are full of fingerprints, which is a superb medium for indirect transmission, plus the disease of
Poisoning on a smooth surface can take up to or more than 24 hours, so don't let children play with cell phones!
5、Adults do not take off their clothes when they get home, and do not touch children without washing their hands, faces, and glasses: Adults come home after going out.
The first thing to do is to change outfits and wash your hands, face and glasses thoroughly. This is exactly the same as preventing enterovirus, and you should also urge children at home to wash their hands and faces regularly and not to touch each other.
6. Do not allow children to rub their eyes or pull out their nostrils with their hands, and do not touch the surfaces of objects in public areas: especially
Wash your child's hands thoroughly with soap on surfaces that are frequently touched, such as elevator buttons, in case you accidentally touch them.
7, do not too often help children with alcohol for hand disinfection: some parents will use alcohol or essential oils for hand disinfection.
However, frequent use may be too irritating for infants and young children, so it is not recommended and should only be sprayed occasionally when it is inconvenient to do so.
When there are unvaccinated children in the family, there are several ways that parents can boost their children's immunity and reduce the chance of contracting the disease:
1, adequate sleep: adequate sleep can maintain the normal functioning of the immune system, infants need 12 to 15 hours of total sleep per day, toddlers need 11 to 14 hours of total sleep, primary school students need 9 to 11 hours of nighttime sleep, and teenagers need 8 to 10 hours.
2. Diet: Supplementation of vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc can enhance immunity.
3, daily exercise: exercise can stimulate the hormones that activate the immune cells and strengthen the immune system.
