🟣[Sunyu Hong Kong] Support Service for Elderly Grandchildren Aberdeen Kai-fong Association - Jockey Club's "Three Generations of Family Love" Project
Working Hong Kong Mothers Appreciate Their Grandfather's Help in Raising Their Grandchildren Many working mothers and fathers will ask the "Four Elders" to help them take care of their children, but the different parenting styles between the two generations will inevitably lead to conflicts. Some working mothers in Hong Kong have recently shared in an online discussion forum that they have a good grandfather who helps them raise their grandchildren after retirement and takes good care of them, but he is also a sensible elder. More than 50% of grandparents find it difficult to discipline their grandchildren A survey conducted by an organization found that 58% of grandparents find it difficult to discipline their grandchildren because of their grandchildren's emotional fluctuations (20.9%), their own emotional fluctuations (14.8%), their inability to teach their grandchildren their homework (13.7%), and inconsistencies in the way they discipline their grandchildren between the two generations (13.2%). A: One time, the total amount of vouchers for eligible elderly is $2500 for the year. 3️⃣ Can I share my rewards with my spouse? A: No. 4️⃣ If I use my spouse's vouchers to pay for my healthcare, which spouse will receive the rewards? A: If the elderly person's voucher account has been depleted and the spouse's vouchers are used to pay for specific primary healthcare services, the utilization will be credited to the accumulated amount of the elderly person (i.e. the recipient of the service, not his/her spouse) for the specific primary healthcare purpose. 5️⃣ Will the use of rewards to pay for services be counted as the cumulative amount of rewards received? A: No, it will not. That is to say, if you are awarded in this year and want to receive the reward in the next year, you need to use $1,500 worth of services and pay with $1,000 health care vouchers and $500 rewards.
