To support parents who are unable to take care of their children temporarily due to work or other reasons, the Social Welfare Department subvents non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to provide a wide range of child care services to meet the different needs of parents and children.
Clientele:
零至三歲以下的幼兒。
Service Hours:
星期一至五上午8時至下午6時，星期六上午8時至下午1時。
Charges:
不同的幼兒中心的收費不一，有提供半日、全日、或按小時收費。

幼兒中心

全日$64，半日$32，每兩小時一節為$16，另加膳食費。
延長時間服務
提供較長時間幼兒照顧服務，以滿足有社會需要的家庭及雙職父母。
延長時間服務的時間：
一般為星期一至五下午6時至晚上8時，星期六下午1時至下午3時或8時。 （個別中心的服務時間會因應服務需要而有所調整。）
Charges:
每小時$13。

社署為推廣社區居民發揮鄰里互助精神，同地區有關機構合作。
Clientele:
0-6歲嬰幼兒提供照顧服務。
服務性質：
- 由非牟利的地區團體、婦女組織及教會團體等設立
- 推動鄰里互助精神以照顧幼兒
- 活動主要由義工、鄰里及/或家長以互助幼兒小組形式提供

Clientele:
為9歲以下兒童提供有彈性的幼兒照顧服務。
服務性質：
- 提供具彈性的幼兒照顧服務
- 推動社區參予和鄰里互助
- 服務內容包括兩個部份：家居照顧服務和中心託管小組
Service Hours:
居照顧服務時間為上午七時至晚上十一時，中心託管小組開放時間至晚上，並於部分週末提供服務。
