Starting from December 13, 2023, elderly people aged 65 or above can make a booking through the Government's online booking platform to receive XBB vaccine at the New Crown Vaccination Station of private clinics or designated general outpatient clinics of the HA on December 14 to complete the initial dose or additional booster. In addition, designated specialist outpatient clinics under HA and designated elderly health centers under DH will also provide XBB vaccine to patients and members from December 14 onwards. 🟣[Sunyu HK] HA's Glaucoma Treatment Collaboration Project
HA's Glaucoma Treatment Collaboration Programme (GTCP) provides an option for stabilized glaucoma patients currently receiving treatment at ophthalmology specialist outpatient clinics (SOPCs) to receive private specialist medical care in the community and to choose a participating private ophthalmologist to follow up on their glaucoma condition. Target beneficiaries: Glaucoma patients who are currently receiving treatment at ophthalmology specialist outpatient clinics (SOPCs) and are in stable condition. Participation Methods: HA will send invitation letters to eligible patients in batches, and patients do not need to apply on their own. Selection Criteria: HA will invite eligible patients to participate in the Program in phases according to the date of their first glaucoma consultation at the ophthalmology specialist outpatient clinics in order of priority. 🔹 Stable condition 🔹 1 year or more from the date of follow-up consultation 🔹 Follow-up consultation at least once every 16 weeks in the past year Program Description: Each patient is entitled to up to 4 subsidized consultations per year, including specific glaucoma medications, and up to 1 visual field examination and 1 optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanning service per year by a private ophthalmologist. Fees: Participating patients are only required to pay the equivalent of HA's specialist outpatient services per visit - currently $80 per visit, $15 per drug and $80 per examination. Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Charitable Foundation - Tsuen Wan Council and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital - Tsuen Wan announced on 24 October 2023 the launch of the "2023-24 Charitable Heart Disease Project", which provides full subsidy for balloon coronary angioplasty (a.k.a. "Tomobojie") to eligible patients. The program covers pre-operative consultations and required tests, Tomobayashi surgery and post-operative consultations on a first-come-first-served basis. Psychiatrists have pointed out that these behaviors may be related to hoarding. This article provides information on how to support hoarders. Hoarding is caused by a knot in the heart: Most of the hoarders have unresolved knots in their hearts due to prolonged loneliness, anxiety, and restlessness. The antidote to hoarding is to deal with emotions and internal needs. It is not advisable to help the hoarder to enforce the house on his own without professional assistance, as the environment may not be safe, and gloves and insect repellents are needed. "Home" and "Friends" Volunteer Service Program To organize street sleepers or community members to provide hoarding victims with hoarding services such as hoarding disposal and household pick-up as far as practicable. "National Public Education Program To utilize the power of social media to raise public awareness of hoarding in an innovative way. Provide the public with knowledge and related community resources. Application: 1. Applicants must be referred by a social worker. 2. 2. The referrer must confirm the applicant's wishes and ensure that the applicant is willing to accept the services provided by the program, and must fill out the application form accurately. Program staff will confirm the referral verbally or in writing within 21 working days of receipt of the application form. 2. 2. after the first interview and assessment by the Program Manager, service approval will be made according to the applicant's condition and needs. 3. The Government's "Elderly Health Care Voucher Reward Scheme" will be launched on November 13 for a period of three years. Eligible elders who have used $1,000 or more health care vouchers for specific primary health care services in the same year will automatically be issued $500 reward vouchers, and this article organizes the information of the scheme. Eligibility: Elderly people are required to use $1,000 or more of health care vouchers in the same year for specific primary health care services, such as disease prevention and health care management, and will automatically be issued $500 bonus health care vouchers. A: No, it will not. 🟣[Sunyu HK] Chronic Disease Co-management Pilot Project
To encourage early prevention and management of chronic diseases, the Government has launched the "Chronic Disease Management Programme" (CDMP) to provide an incentive in the form of partial subsidy for people who are not yet aware of their chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, or who have symptoms of these diseases, to encourage them to understand their own health conditions through screening at an early stage, with a view to achieving the goal of "early detection and treatment". Implementation date: Planned to be implemented in mid-November 2023 Target: All Hong Kong residents aged 45 or above who have not been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus or hypertension are eligible to participate. Service Content: Participants can receive screening for diabetes mellitus and hypertension in the private healthcare market, consultation and laboratory tests by doctors, prescription of medication according to their health conditions, and follow-up by nurse clinics and allied health services. Costs: 🔹 At this screening stage, program participants pay a one-time fee of $120 flat, which covers the cost of all screening appointments, related labs and tests 🔹 If participants are diagnosed with high blood glucose, diabetes, or hypertension, they receive a government subsidy for long-term follow up with a family doctor of their choice. 🔹 People with high blood glucose are entitled to a maximum of four subsidized consultations per year, while those with diabetes mellitus or hypertension are entitled to a maximum of six subsidized consultations per year. During the treatment stage, the Government will subsidize a consultation fee of $166 per visit, and the co-payment for each visit will be determined by the family doctor. 🔹 Participants are not required to pay for drugs covered by the doctor's prescription list and/or drugs for episodic illnesses for a maximum of three days.
